Cold romance

I loved the world building, the supporting characters, and the plot. I did not love the romance between the lead characters, it left me feeling cold. The male lead just never seemed that interested, maybe at times the author threw in a growl or a heated look, but otherwise they could have been friends. The author did a poor job of building that chemistry between the characters, in my opinion. I liked the characters, just not the romance.

I thought I was becoming a little jaded with all the paranormal romance i have been consuming lately, then I opened this one. Wow, just loved it from the start. Literally couldnt put it down, luckily I work at night and there is sometimes an opportunity to read when its quiet. Last night was one such night and I read the whole book. Great characters, I was almost yelling at Marshall that Elizabeth didnt sleep with Charles. Almost but that would have woken my patients and then I would have had to put the book down so I manages to contain myself. Just loved it.

Up all night! Couldn't put it down!

Whole new twist for those who love werewolf romance! Great leading lady and man (The Alpha) and also a wonderful supporting crew of characters that I hope get their own stories some day soon! It was sweet, funny, with a lot of danger and mystery to round it out. The love scenes were wonderful, if a little tame so if your not into hard core sex scenes this is a great read for you! This is the first book I have read from this author, but it won't be the last!
